Ik had al eerder over zijn plannen gelezen maar nu is het concreet. Het gaat om een digitale krant die minder haastig nieuws wil brengen door de structuren achter de maatschappij bloot te leggen, dus minder incidenten (wat er die dag toevallig gebeurt) en meer diepgang (wat er elke dag gebeurt en waarom).<\/p>\n<p>Wijnberg wil niet lenen bij een bank of bij geldschieters. Hij gaat het geld binnen halen met crowdfunding. Het doel is om \u20ac 900.000 binnen te halen in 1 maand tijd. Vandaag staat de teller na 1 dag al op ongeveer 4.000 aanmeldingen. Het ziet er dus naar uit dat de 15.000 leden \u00e1 raison van \u20ac 60 per lid gehaald gaan worden.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lid?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Er wordt steeds gesproken over het &#8216;werven van leden&#8217;. Wat is een lid dan? Dat is mij niet helemaal duidelijk. Je kunt op meerdere manieren meedoen aan de crowdfunding van deze vorm van slow-journalism. In principe krijg je voor je \u20ac 60 simpelweg een jaarabonnement op een vernieuwende digitale krant. Je wordt symbolisch aandeelhouder (volgens de site) en dat komt er op neer dat je een mening kan hebben over de koers van de krant en dat de redactie (die besluit) daar serieus rekening mee gaat houden.<\/p>\n<p>Je krijgt in ieder geval geen rendement in geld voor je inleg. Als de actie geen succes wordt (de doelstelling van 15.000 leden wordt niet gehaald binnen 1 maand) dan krijg je je geld terug. Verder zijn er nog zwaardere vormen van steun, oplopend van donaties die een vernoeming ergens op een pagina gaan opleveren tot aan grootstorters die in de hall of fame van de oprichters worden opgenomen. Ook dit is natuurlijk een mooie verfijning naar de verschillende motieven die donateurs kunnen hebben.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Epiloog<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ik vind het een geweldig initiatief en ga me in ieder geval als &#8216;lid&#8217; melden. Het wordt een succes (denk ik) omdat het in DWDD aandacht heeft gekregen en nu al een aantal &#8216;goede koppen&#8217; hun medewerking inhoudelijk hebben toegezegd. En het is dan ook meteen een van de meest in het oog springende voorbeelden van succesvolle crowdfunding in de praktijk.<\/p>\n<p>Ik vroeg me nog wel af, ondanks dat het lidmaatschap wat onduidelijk blijft, of er openheid komt over de manier van besteding van het geld.
